Job summary

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a Product Owner to build, manage, and maintain a product backlog in partnership with IT teams. You will define business value, write user stories, and shape the product direction through collaboration with stakeholders and JAD sessions.

The role focuses on aligning the roadmap with strategic goals, engaging Agile teams, and communicating requirements to technologists, ensuring the product delivers measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Agile methodologies, principles, and procedures.
• Ability to define and build product roadmap.
• Ability to negotiate with all stakeholders.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and their expectations.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands.

Responsibilities

• Develops and aligns the Product Roadmap to strategic goals by working with customers and stakeholders.
• Engages with the Agile development team to define and maintain backlog epics and features.
• Informs business decisions by drafting objectives and results and ensuring data is optimized by the product.
• Partners with product management and senior management to fit the product to the portfolio and represent the team to clients and stakeholders.
• Communicates product needs to technologists and internal/external partners and ensures adoption of the product.
• Articulates the value proposition to clients and stakeholders.
• Researches and analyzes product roadmap, market, and users.
• Advocates for Agile methods and knowledge of new technologies.
