Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience as Product Owner or similar role in software development
  • Experience owning or prioritizing a product backlog in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience conducting product discovery and translating findings into actionable requirements
  • Familiarity with APIs, UI/UX collaboration, testing, and tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Figma

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize backlog for one or more software products or areas
  • Meet with users and stakeholders to clarify requests and identify problems
  • Translate needs into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and rules
  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, releases

Accentuate Staffing is working with a healthcare organization that is hiring a Product Owner to support the continued development of its customer-facing and internal software platforms. These products help manage complex healthcare, accreditation, quality improvement, reporting, and operational workflows. This person will work with business leaders and product, design, development, and quality assurance teams to determine which problems should be addressed and guide solutions from initial discovery through release.This position is designed for a Product Owner who can bring structure to loosely defined business needs, understand how users interact with software, and turn that information into clear priorities for an Agile development team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a product backlog, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting product discovery, and communicating the purpose and expected outcome of product decisions. The role will work with web-based applications, customer portals, APIs, data and reporting features, and Agile product tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Figma, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Own and prioritize the backlog for one or more software products or product areas, ensuring development work remains aligned with customer needs and business goals
  • Meet with users, customers, and internal stakeholders to clarify requests, identify underlying problems, document workflows, and determine what a successful solution should accomplish
  • Translate product needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and supporting documentation for design, development, and QA teams
  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, product demonstrations, release discussions, and other Agile activities while answering questions and making timely product decisions
  • Partner with design and engineering teams to evaluate the value, usability, technical feasibility, and business viability of potential solutions, including build-versus-buy considerations
  • Gather feedback and review product data following releases to evaluate adoption, customer satisfaction, workflow improvements, and whether features achieved their intended outcomes
Requirements
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Associate Product Manager, Product Manager, or in a similar role supporting the development of software applications
  • Demonstrated experience owning or prioritizing a product backlog and working directly with software development teams in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • Experience conducting product discovery, gathering user feedback, clarifying ambiguous business needs, and translating findings into actionable product requirements
  • Working knowledge of user stories, acceptance criteria, product roadmaps, APIs, UI/UX collaboration, software testing, and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Figma, or comparable platforms
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to explain product priorities and decisions clearly to executives, business users, designers, developers, and QA professionals
  • Healthcare technology, healthcare SaaS, accreditation, credentialing, compliance, quality improvement, reporting, or other workflow-based software experience is preferred; Product Owner or Agile certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, or PMI-ACP are a plus
