Job summary

ATCC is hiring a remote Product Manager for its microbiology portfolio to shape strategy supporting infectious disease research, microbial genomics, and microbiome studies. The role builds marketing plans, analyzes market data, and drives growth through portfolio optimization.

Ideal candidates have a background in product/portfolio management or life sciences, with experience in microbiology, biotech, or related research markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in product or portfolio management or life sciences.
• Experience conducting market research, voice-of-the-customer insights, and competitive analysis.
• Ability to develop strategic plans, budgets, forecasts, and portfolio management strategies.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across product development, operations, QA, marketing, and sales.
• Preferred microbiology-focused portfolio management experience in life sciences or related markets.
• Experience with new product commercialization and market-driven roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and gather customer insights to guide the product roadmap.
• Develop and maintain portfolio strategy, goals, timelines, budgets, and forecasts.
• Evaluate business opportunities and provide recommendations for portfolio growth.
• Lead the new product introduction stage-gate with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor financial performance and report results to inform growth actions.
• Assess portfolio breadth and depth to maintain a robust microbiology product offering.
