Job summary

CRH plc, through its Oldcastle Infrastructure arm, seeks a Product Engineer to design and enhance Fibrelyte products for water, energy, and communications markets. You’ll collaborate with operations, product management, and drafting teams to move concepts to commercial release.

This remote role supports multiple US plants. Expect design work, 3D modeling (Inventor/Vault), FEA simulations, tooling coordination, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant product development experience for physical products.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced product development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and document management software (Inventor/Vault).
• Knowledge of regulatory codes/standards and product compliance.

Responsibilities

• Establish design specifications based on industry and customer standards.
• Direct product design and detailing with prototyping and testing of enclosures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring a product from concept to release.
• Coordinate internal and third-party testing of products.
• Ensure manufacturability and smooth introduction to production.
• Create SKU’s and Bills of Material.
• Attend job sites and customer meetings to provide technical support.
• Research new technologies to stay at industry forefront.
