Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to design and enhance Fibrelyte products and related enclosures. You will collaborate with product management and operations, perform 3D modeling, prototyping, testing, and support regulatory compliance across US markets.

The role is remote, supporting multiple US plants, with approx. 20% travel to customer sites and production facilities. A mechanical engineering degree and 3+ years of product development are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant product development with physical products.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective communicator.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and Inventor/Vault; working with simulation tools.
• Understanding of regulatory codes/standards and product compliance.
• Knowledge of compression and plastic injection molded products.

Responsibilities

• Establish design specs based on industry and customer standards.
• Design, detail, prototype, and test enclosures with components.
• Collaborate in stage-gate product development to release to market.
• Coordinate testing and prototyping with internal and external teams.
• Ensure manufacturability and smooth introduction to production.
• Create SKUs and Bills of Materials and review customer drawings.
• Provide technical support for quality standards and certifications.
• Support tooling, automation, and assembly process design with operations.
• Attend sites and customer meetings to provide technical support.
• Research new technologies to keep Oldcastle at the forefront.
