Job summary

UNOPS Barbados Country Office is seeking a Procurement Management Specialist to lead demand-driven technical assistance for climate-resilient infrastructure across the Caribbean. The role focuses on procurement planning, documentation, and contract management within a remote-first, retainer framework.

Travel to participating Caribbean countries is required for complex assignments, with on-site field presence essential for effective delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Professional certification in procurement, supply chain management or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide procurement planning and strategy support for assignments.
• Prepare and review procurement documentation and technical specifications.
• Advise on procurement processes including evaluation and negotiation.
• Support contract management advisory and procurement governance activities.
• Contribute to capacity development and knowledge sharing with governments.
