Placements24 seeks a Remote Process Safety Engineer for a prominent international chemical producer. You will join a virtual safety excellence team, supporting safety integrity across global sites from a home office.

You will lead PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA), implement PSM programs, perform SIL assessments, investigate incidents, and train personnel remotely while staying current with safety standards and technologies.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of process safety experience in chemical/petrochemical/oil & gas industries.
• Experience with PHA methodologies: HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA.
• Experience implementing PSM elements: mechanical integrity, PSSR, incident investigation.
• Familiarity with IEC 61508/61511 for functional safety.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, what-if) for new and existing processes, remotely coordinating with site teams.
• Develop and implement PSM programs and standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Perform SIL assessments and recommend SIS.
• Investigate process safety incidents, near misses, and deviations; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Provide remote technical guidance and training on process safety principles.
• Review MOC requests to ensure process safety considerations.
• Stay current with evolving process safety regulations, industry standards, and technologies.
• Maintain SCE registers and risk matrices.
