Job summary

Macha PSM seeks a Process Safety Consultant to lead risk and compliance initiatives for industrial clients on a remote basis with travel to sites across the U.S. You will conduct audits, facilitate PHAs, and develop complete PSM/RMP programs while coordinating with the engineering team on projects requiring P&ID work and relief system evaluations.

The role emphasizes strong technical writing, practical recommendations, and client relationship management.

Qualifications

Experience in OSHA PSM and EPA RMP program requirements.
Auditing experience and ability to document findings clearly.
Experience drafting or maintaining written PSM/RMP programs and procedures.
Reading and interpreting P&IDs and technical documentation.
Strong technical writing and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel to client sites and work remotely.

Responsibilities

Plan, conduct, and document PSM and RMP compliance audits with site walkthroughs.
Facilitate PHAs using HAZOP, What-If, and checklist methods and track actions to closure.
Perform Mechanical Integrity audits and evaluate maintenance programs.
Develop full PSM/RMP program builds including procedures and training components.
Prepare clear reports and deliverables tailored to each client.
Assist clients with regulatory inspections and respond to citations.
Build strong client relationships and serve as project lead contact.
