Job summary

AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Process Consultant on a full-time contract basis in Washington, DC. You will analyze current processes, map improvements, and collaborate with leaders to design sustainable solutions.

You will drive process documentation, SOP development, and performance measurement while supporting change management and adoption of new workflows across functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in process consulting, business analysis, operations, process improvement, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into actionable process recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams at different levels.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing business processes, workflows, procedures, and operating models to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct process assessments, interviews, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to understand requirements and challenges.
• Document current-state and future-state processes using process maps, flowcharts, and workflow diagrams.
• Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, control gaps, unnecessary costs, and automation opportunities.
• Develop recommendations and improvement strategies aligned with objectives and priorities.
• Collaborate with leaders and teams to design effective process solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, guidelines, and workflow specs.
• Support process redesign, optimization, standardization, and transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate impact of changes on people, systems, controls, costs, and performance.
• Establish process performance metrics and reporting mechanisms.
• Analyze data and performance trends to identify root causes and support recommendations.
• Facilitate process improvement workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Support change management for new processes, systems, policies, procedures.
• Assist with implementation and adoption of improvements.
• Monitor performance and propose additional improvements.
