Job summary

AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Process Consultant on a full-time contract basis to evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop practical solutions that boost efficiency, quality, productivity, and overall performance.

You will analyze workflows, conduct assessments, map current and future states, and collaborate with leaders across functions to implement sustainable process improvements. Strong communication and cross-functional work experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in process consulting, business analysis, operations, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of process analysis, workflow design, and optimization.
• Experience creating process maps, SOPs, and process documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with root-cause focus.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating to actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple levels.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills; manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio; familiar with Lean/Six Sigma/BPM.
• Experience with workflow automation, ERP/CRM/BI tools; process-management software a plus.
• Relevant certifications (Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMP, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing processes, workflows, procedures, and operating models to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct process assessments, interviews, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to understand requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state processes using maps and diagrams.
• Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, control gaps, and opportunities for automation.
• Develop recommendations and improvement strategies aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with leaders, operations, technology, and SMEs to design solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, guidelines, and specs.
• Support redesign, optimization, standardization, and transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate impact on people, systems, costs, and performance.
• Establish KPIs and reporting to measure improvement.
• Analyze data and trends to identify root causes and evidence-based recommendations.
• Facilitate improvement workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Support change-management activities for new processes and tools.
• Assist with implementation and adoption of approved improvements.
• Monitor performance post-implementation and propose further enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and digital tools.
