Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of hands-on coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS.
• Must code at 95% quality threshold.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review records to ensure accurate APC assignments and billing.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures, and discharge disposition.
• Maintain patient and provider confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participate in client meetings and trainings.
