Qualifications

• Pre-employment skills assessment required.

• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS and medical terminology essential.
• Ability to code at 95% quality while meeting production standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with clients.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS codes for designated patient types.
• Review facility records to ensure accurate APC/EM code reflection.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and procedures.
• Collaborate with client staff for data integrity and coding accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in client and Savista meetings and trainings.
• Keep current with coding guidelines and third-party requirements.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain credentials.
