Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer for its Data Center Infrastructure team, offering remote or Austin, TX work options with travel up to 30% (domestic/international). You will drive structural design and analysis across data center modules, frames, and mechanical spaces, ensuring code-compliance and manufacturability within modular construction workflows.

You will lead structural risk mitigation, collaborate with cross-discipline teams, and align DFMA with production-ready designs

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in structural steel and concrete design.
• Experience with seismic analysis and equipment support systems.
• Ability to integrate structural with high-density MEP environments and modular construction workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead gravity, wind, seismic, and vibration analysis for modules, frames, racks, and support structures per IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI and local codes.
• Develop seismic bracing and restraint strategies for MEP systems and modular assemblies.
• Design foundations, steel frames, and anchorage for chillers, generators, UPS, pumps and heat exchangers.
• Collaborate with BIM/Revit to ensure integrated, clash-free structural models.
• Support factory layout, DFMA alignment, and modularization for repeatability across programs.
