Job summary

Jabil's Data Center Infrastructure team in Austin, TX (remote option) seeks a Lead Electrical CAD Engineer to own electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring and power distribution for mission-critical power and cooling products. You will ensure design integrity across concept, NPI, production and sustaining phases, aligning with safety standards and customer specs.

You will work with mechanical and PLM teams, manage ECR/ECNs, keep BOM and PLM records synchronized, and drive compliant,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on electrical CAD design experience.
• Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical or Edge Electrical.
• Experience designing power distribution and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring designs.
• Document power distribution, protection, grounding, and control circuits.
• Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and serviceability requirements.
• Coordinate with mechanical layouts and thermal constraints.
• Manage BOMs, PLM records, and cross-product variants.
• Implement engineering changes with compliance and production continuity.
• Support prototype builds and production ramp-up.
