Lumen is seeking a Principal, IT Strategy & Operations Manager—a senior individual-contributor role partnering with Technology VPs, Finance, and leaders to shape IT strategy and translate investments into business value.

The role blends strategic planning with hands-on ownership of cloud program budgeting, forecasting, governance, and executive reporting, supporting IT transformation across the organization in a remote U.S.-based environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in IT strategy, technology finance, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, variances, and governance.
• Knowledge of cloud economics and FinOps, cloud billing, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Define transformation priorities, roadmaps, and investment choices with business impact.
• Identify AI, automation, analytics opportunities to boost productivity.
• Manage cloud program budgets, forecasts, and governance with transparent reporting.
• Coordinate professional-services funding and governance reviews.
• Maintain dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio reporting for leadership.
