Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Principal, IT Strategy & Operations Manager to partner with technology leadership and finance to shape IT strategy, translate investments into business value, and drive disciplined execution.

The role blends strategic planning with hands-on cloud program budgeting, forecasting, governance, and executive reporting, with a remote-friendly setup and high accountability. Expect collaboration across VPs, Finance, and external partners to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

> 1-2+ years of progressive experience in IT strategy, technology finance, business operations, consulting, transformation, or related disciplines.
> Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
> Strong financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, variance analysis, business cases, and investment governance.
> Knowledge of cloud economics, FinOps, and professional-services spend.

Responsibilities

Partner with VPs to define transformation priorities, roadmaps, and investment choices.
Identify AI, automation, analytics, and process-improvement opportunities to boost productivity.
Manage cloud-program budgets, forecasts, milestones, and actuals; align with Finance and Transformation Office.
Coordinate professional-services funding requests and governance reviews; oversee procurement and forecasts.
Maintain dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio reporting for leadership.
