Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an International Trade Compliance Analyst. This role focuses on HTS/Schedule B classification, import/export support, and program compliance within the defense sector. Remote flexibility is available at Principal or Sr Principal level.

The ideal candidate has deep HTS knowledge, ITAR/EAR experience, and strong analytical, writing, and communication skills to navigate complex regulatory requirements and ensure compliant operations across global supply chains.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or international logistics in aerospace/defense, or a Master’s with 3+ years (or 9+ years experience)
• US Customhouse Brokers License holder preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and US Citizenship
• Experience with WCO Rules & 19 CFR
• Deep knowledge of HTS/Schedule B and country of origin requirements
• Experience with ITAR and EAR compliance

Responsibilities

• Serve as HTS/Schedule B classification expert and ensure correct tariff classification
• Document rationales and defend classification decisions
• Apply rules of origin and government agency trade compliance requirements
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather required information for classification
• Provide guidance on international trade compliance requirements and export/import processes
• Maintain records per internal and regulatory requirements
• Support trade compliance assessments, audits, and post-entry activities
• Provide surge support for exports and imports and contribute to training plans
