Job summary

Pragmatike is seeking a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to own complex customer deployments and shape how forward deployment is approached at scale. You will work directly with customers to define requirements, build and deploy solutions, and develop tooling across environments.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to enhance platform capabilities, translate feedback into concrete engineering tasks, and drive projects from discovery to production in a fast-moving startup setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience building and deploying production software.
• Strong systems, API, integration, and debugging skills.
• Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
• High ownership and ability to independently drive projects.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and operational challenges.
• Build, deploy, and customize production solutions in customer environments.
• Develop integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tooling.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
• Own projects from technical discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Develop reusable solutions that can scale across multiple customers.
• Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability.
• Act as a technical advisor and trusted engineering partner to customers.
