Avery Dennison is seeking a Principal Enterprise Data Platform Architect to lead the design of an enterprise 10-Layer Data Operating System across multi-cloud environments. You will guide architecture, standards, and automation while mentoring engineers and aligning with business goals.

The role emphasizes GitOps, Data-as-Code, and scalable data/AI pipelines, with a focus on security, observability, and cost efficiency across OCI, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field with 10+ years in enterprise data architecture, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure design.
• 3+ years leading technical teams in a global enterprise context.
• Expert proficiency in multi-cloud environments and enterprise AI/ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own the global architecture blueprint and technology decision trees for enterprise analytical and AI platforms across multi-cloud environments.
• Architect and deploy the centralized Metadata Control Plane and automated Data Catalog.
• Design and govern enterprise AI infrastructure standards including Vector Databases and Knowledge Graphs.
• Enforce Universal Security Model with ABAC, RLS, and Okta/AD integration.
• Lead Pillar Lead for the Data Platform Engineering squad and mentor talent.
