Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking an ETL Developer III to design, develop, and optimize complex ETL pipelines for data-integrated shelf-edge technology solutions. The role requires senior-level expertise in data architecture, integration, and database development, with collaboration across Platform, Cloud, Data Engineering, and QA teams.

This hybrid role emphasizes performance optimization, CI/CD practices, and adherence to internal SOX policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years of IT experience in ETL development, data integration, and database administration.
• Deep knowledge of database architectures, SQL development, performance tuning, and schema design.
• Hands-on with enterprise ETL tools, automated workflow orchestrators, batch/streaming processing; Databricks pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of robust ETL processes and data pipelines for high-volume data streams.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and optimize data flows.
• Collaborate with Platform, Cloud, Data Engineering, and QA teams to translate requirements into scalable pipelines.
• Design physical schemas, maintain data dictionaries and ER diagrams to protect data integrity and security.
• Establish CI/CD patterns, data quality controls, and data recovery procedures in line with SOX 404.
