Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineering Project Manager to lead engineering projects, collaborate with technical teams on detailed proposals, and manage execution across schedules, risks, and finances.

The role requires extensive project management experience in data center environments, strong client relationships, and ability to travel 10–15%. The position supports remote work in the US with multiple domestic locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PMP Certification and 10 years of experience in engineering consulting, project management or data center work.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a project manager or engineer with an engineering firm doing data center projects.
• PMP certification preferred and hyperscale data center experience is highly valued.
• Skilled in cost/work-hour estimating and proposal development and review.
• Ability to report on and manage scope, schedule, and cost for multiple concurrent projects.
• Knowledge in earned value management and progress reporting.
• Experience with contract language development and NDAs.
• Ability to manage budgets and accounting processes across projects.
• Strong coordination and team-building skills with excellent organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects by coordinating with technical teams to develop engineering proposals and manage execution.
• Oversee schedules, resources, and recovery plans to meet client expectations.
• Develop comprehensive work plans, risk management strategies, and communications plans.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial health with reporting and metrics.
• Direct engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify new opportunities through effective engagement.
• Plan, implement, and supervise client contracts while traveling to client facilities as needed.
