Banner Health Corporate is seekingRemote Medical Coders to join a 100% remote primary care coding team. You will code ICD-CM and CPT for diagnoses and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with national guidelines while collaborating with a team of 10 coders and managers.

Ideal candidates hold active CPC/CCS credentials, have at least six months of coding experience across diverse healthcare settings, and can work remotely within Banner-approved states.

Qualifications

• Active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A/RHIA/RHIT certification in active status.
• Six months of professional coding experience in a broad range of healthcare facilities.
• HD diploma or Associate’s degree in related health care field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical information and assign ICD-CM and CPT codes per national guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
• Abstract medical records into EMR, ensuring complete, accurate coding with signatures/authorizations.
• Provide quality assurance, ensure compliance with CMS, CMS guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Compile daily/monthly reports for research or analysis.
• Work independently, seek guidance for interpretation of coding guidelines when needed.
