Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a remote Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the Preconstruction Group through award to mobilization, manage cost and schedule, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and legal teams across nationwide projects.

The role requires 5+ years in construction, strong leadership, and experience with LNTPs, CMiC, and bid packages. Remote work is offered, with travel ~25% anticipated.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership and remote-team coordination skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead Preconstruction Group with daily management and coordination.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages, solicit and evaluate bids.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Ensure procurement aligns with LNTP scope, budget, schedules.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to define contract scopes of work.
• Track design constraints and lead times for long lead procurement.
• Develop LNTPs and document project requirements.
• Maintain reporting on cost forecasting and EAC.
