Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the Preconstruction Group from notice of award to mobilization, coordinating cost, schedule, and scope across departments for solar, storage, and high voltage projects. This fully remote role requires strong leadership in a dispersed team and ability to manage procurement and LNTP processes.

Candidates should have an engineering/construction background with 5+ years field experience, scheduling and estimating, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability to lead remote teams to high performance.
• Strong written and verbal communications.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu.
• Knowledge of contract law and project accounting basics.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• 5+ years construction experience; 2+ years scheduling and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages, solicit and evaluate bids.
• Define and create LNTPs; coordinate LNTP design requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and legal teams on scope.
• Track changes affecting schedule and budget; report to the Project Executive.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings and negotiations.
• Ensure procurement aligns with scope, budget, and timelines.
