Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead the Preconstruction Group from notice of award through mobilization. This fully remote role involves coordinating scope, budget, and schedule, plus managing bids, cost control, and contract exhibits.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and legal teams; travel about 25%; require 5+ years in construction and strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability to run remote, diverse teams.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Organizational and communication skills; strong people skills.
• Able to travel (estimated 25%).
• 5+ years construction experience
• 2+ years scheduling and estimating experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for each design iteration.
• Maintain timely reporting to the Project Team and management, including cost forecasting and EAC.
