Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Remote Scheduling Specialist for the 10336 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team in Wisconsin. You will handle centralized scheduling, patient data entry, Medicare questionnaires, and insurance coordination while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Training is provided; the role requires strong problem solving, data entry accuracy, and excellent communication with patients and providers. Remote work offers flexibility within CST hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate; 1 year experience in health care, insurance, call center or customer service.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: problem solve in high profile and high stress area, work independently to set and meet deadlines and prioritize work.
• Examinations: general computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Accurate utilization of computerized central scheduling system to provide customers with timely, courteous, and proficient scheduling.
• Accurately enters all required patient Registration data (i.e. demographic, insurance, contacts).
• Completes the Medicare Questionnaire for all Medicare patients and references Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer requirements.
• Provides patients with accurate preparation and arrival instructions prior to exam.
• Accurately obtains and transcribes orders for scheduled outpatient exams.
• Participates in department staff meetings and keeps abreast of continuing education to ensure effective communication and maintain skill competency.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and compliance with policies.
• Informs customers of insurance requirements and pre-payment financial obligations.
