Job summary

Planet Labs Germany GmbH is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to design complex data-driven solutions for the German defense/intelligence market. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to voice customer needs and enhance offerings, while guiding technical strategy and proposals.

The role is full-time and remote within Germany; travel up to 25% is required, with potential for office-based days if located nearby.

Qualifications

• 6+ years supporting German Defense/Intelligence in a technical role.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
• Excellent German verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional English working proficiency.
• Experience with GIS/Remote Sensing in Defense.
• Experience in IMINT/ISR and related fields.
• Extensive geospatial software and programming familiarity.
• Ability to bridge business prot?
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Eligibility for German security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver demos highlighting Planet’s platform capabilities.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer staff.
• Recommend solution architectures to meet business challenges.
• Prepare technical responses to tenders, RFPs, and proposals.
• Collaborate with sales to drive technical strategy across accounts.
• Coordinate with CS, PM, and BizDev to reflect customer voice.
• Meet quarterly and annual sales/ops objectives.
• Communicate needs of defense customers to Sales leadership.
• Present to German Government stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to training.
