Job summary

SHI is seeking a Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to collaborate with customers and sales teams across modern enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments. The role emphasizes translating security concepts into business outcomes and may require occasional trips to an Austin office based on business needs.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, knowledge of email security platforms, and ability to present solutions to diverse audiences, supporting PoCs and enabling post-sales

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, pre-sales engineering, or solutions architecture.
• Experience across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid security environments.
• Strong ability to communicate and demonstrate complex security solutions.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, HITRUST).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer business goals, security challenges, and technology environments.
• Assess customer security architectures and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop high-level architectures, solution proposals, and supporting technical documentation for customers.
• Design and recommend scalable cybersecurity solutions aligned to customer requirements and best practices.
• Present security solutions, value propositions, and competitive differentiation to technical and executive audiences.
• Support product demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, and technical briefings.
• Collaborate with technology partners to validate and refine proposed solutions.
• Assist with pre-sales PoC efforts to validate technical fitness and business value.
• Provide technical enablement and security-focused training to internal sales teams.
• Ensure a smooth handoff to post-sales delivery teams after opportunity closure.
