Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a remote pre-sales engineering role in the US to support BAS solutions across North America. You will lead pre-sales design, cost development, and value engineering, liaising with sales, vendors, and subcontractors to deliver compelling proposals.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in controls sales/operations for HVAC and BAS cost development, a engineering degree, and strong analytical skills. The role offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years plus controls sales/operations experience with HVAC systems and BAS cost development.
• Must be able to work on US restricted projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated computer and analytical skills.
• Ability to problem solve in an ever-changing environment.
• Background in JCI installation operations as Application Engineer or Installation Sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales development and cost estimation for BAS projects.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and vendors for bids and cost data.
• Provide technical sales support and value engineering.
• Assist in project turnover and QA/QC reviews.
• Define scope and manage subcontractor bids and RFPs.
• Collaborate with OpenBlue Digital team on integrated solutions.
