Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Pre-Construction Low Voltage Electrical Estimator for Major Projects. You will lead subcontractor pricing, develop cost models for installation, and coordinate with the Major Projects Team to secure competitive bids.

The role requires extensive estimating experience, BAS/electrical know-how, and strong collaboration with sales and operations. Based remotely for US-based candidates, travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years estimating experience.
• Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire protection, and security systems.
• Electrical industry experience (Journeyman Electrician/Estimator) is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proficient with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractor development and pricing for major projects.
• Develop installation cost models and BOM/ROM estimates.
• Source and evaluate 3rd party subcontractors and quotes.
• Coordinate with Sales, Major Projects Team, and Operations/Installation.
• Review RFQs and ensure contract provisions with Subcontractors.
