Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems, seeks a Pre-Construction Low Voltage Electrical Estimator for US-based remote work. You will partner with our Major Projects Team to develop accurate installation costs and select qualified subcontractors for projects potentially exceeding $10M.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years estimating, BAS/fire/security knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office and estimating software. Some travel (10%) may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Estimating experience.
• Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire protection, and security systems strongly preferred.
• Electrical industry equivalent experience (Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, Estimator, Technician, or bachelor’s degree) required.
• Strong English skills.
• Willingness to travel (10% overnight).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of installation costing and subcontractor selection for major projects.
• Partner with Sales during project development to own subcontractor installation pricing and strategy.
• Review project SOWs, qualify subcontractor requirements, and manage RFPs.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers and analyze cost data.
