Job summary

Zaddy Solutions is seeking an experienced field service engineer to test and commission protective relays and substation equipment on transmission and distribution systems. You will travel regionally, work on-site independently, and report findings to customers and project leads.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, starting up equipment, collecting test data on HV systems, and interpreting schematics and DC elementaries.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in utility or substation relay testing and commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with relay test sets and relay software (SEL, GE or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in EE or related field, or equivalent experience. NETA certification is not required.
• Comfort with flexible hours, weekends and frequent driving.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test and commission protective relays, control schemes and substation equipment on transmission and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot, run start-ups and collect test data on HV equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and DC elementaries.
• Work independently on site, and report findings to customers and project leads.
