U.S. Electrical Testing, LLC seeks an experienced field technician to install, calibrate, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems across substations and data centers.

You will interpret schematics, operate diverse test equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The role requires standing up to 60 feet, lifting up to 50 pounds, and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant electrical experience or 2+ years with an associate's degree.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% - 50% of the time.
• Possess a valid/active U.S. Work Authorization.
• NETA / NICET certification or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsabilidades

• Proficiently uses hand and power tools, meters and other test equipment in energized rooms, vaults, and substations to install, maintain, repair and program protective relays and associated wiring.
• Reviews schematic, wiring diagrams, and substation drawings and inspections to ensure correct installations.
• Operates test equipment and follows all safe work practices as outlined in the safety handbook.
• Commissions new relay and metering installations and coordinates testing with other departments.
• Maintains and tests relays and equipment such as standby generators and display meters.
• Performs troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs to ensure system reliability.
• Participates in emergency callouts and special projects as assigned.
• Maintains detailed test reports and documentation for compliance and client review.
