Job summary

GE Vernova, a leader in energy technology, is seeking a software engineer to advance power system applications (DMS, DTS, EMS/DTS) in a remote-enabled role. You will design, implement, and maintain software that helps utilities operate safer, more reliably, and efficiently.

Work with system and frontend engineers to align with product direction, write functional designs, and contribute to schedules and cost estimates while interfacing with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Systems or STEM with 5+ years of development or project delivery experience, or
• Master's degree in Computer Science or STEM with 3+ years of development or project delivery experience.
• Experience in power systems and/or energy management systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality design and development practices for power system software (DMS, DTS, EMS/DTS).
• Maintain functionality; including code fixes, documentation, and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement solutions aligned with product direction.
• Contribute to DMS functional software designs and provide input on schedules and costs.
• Interface with customers on issues within area of expertise; support proposals and demos.
