Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a remote Technical Leader to drive the design and delivery of grid automation solutions across presales and delivery. You will lead projects from design through commissioning, interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure technically sound, compliant implementations.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, protection and control systems, and cybersecurity, with travel up to 30% in the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Digital Protection & Control Systems or Energy Management Solutions design engineering for utilities/industrials, ideally within Grid Automation.
• Experience in Electric Power Distribution Automation, Process Bus, Substation Digitization, Monitoring & Diagnostics, Asset Performance Management (APM), Device Management (DvM), or Cybersecurity Management.
• Proficient in designing and programming electrical control systems, including SCADA/HMI, cybersecurity, network equipment, IEC61850, Firewalls.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to travel 30% in the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Projects from design to commissioning.
• Be the main technical interface between customer and project team.
• Participate in project risk reviews and manage budgets in engineering terms.
• Analyse customer specs, write technical documentation, validate solutions.
• Specify software and IEDs, plan technical execution and safety compliance.
• Address technical deviations and support site engineers remotely or on-site.
• Lead Factory and Site Acceptance Tests, coordinate major milestones.
• Provide training and support to customers and tendering teams.
