Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Application Engineer, Power Distribution, in Peachtree Corners, GA or Grand Prairie, TX (Remote). You will lead proposals, prepare bids, and negotiate terms with customers and suppliers, collaborating with Sales to drive business in data center and industrial markets.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years bidding experience, with knowledge of electrical distribution, SLDs, and AutoCAD. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience preparing proposals and bidding on projects.
• Fundamental financial and commercial aptitude.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution products, especially LV switchgear.
• Knowledge of SLDs, relay PLC schemes, and network diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Draft and submit bids in response to RFPs and RFQs.
• Follow up opportunities to confirm win/loss/abandoned status.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans, budgets, timelines.
• Negotiate commercial terms with customers and suppliers.
• Maintain records of contracts, bids, and proposals.
• Create/modify project drawings and schematics with AutoCAD.
• Monitor sector trends and competitor actions for opportunities and risks.
• Represent Siemens at trade shows and events to engage prospects.
