Job summary

Siemens seeks a Power Distribution Application Engineer in Peachtree Corners, GA. This role focuses on bid preparation, technical coordination, and customer engagement for low‑voltage switchgear projects across data centers, industrial, and construction markets.

You will prepare proposals, review SLDs/PLC schemes, and collaborate with sales to tailor solutions. Travel will be required to meet customers and sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in bid preparation and project bidding.
• Fundamental financial and commercial acumen.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution products, LV switchgear.
• Familiarity with SLDs, relay PLC schemes, network diagrams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and bid requests by drafting and submitting bids.
• Follow up on opportunities to determine win/loss status.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Engage in commercial contract negotiations with customers and suppliers.
• Keep records of contracts, bids, and proposals.
• Create/modify project drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Monitor sector trends and competitor actions to spot opportunities and risks.
• Represent Siemens at trade shows and events to connect with prospects.
