Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Project Management Area Lead for our Power & Energy Management Team in the Northeast region, based in New York/Newark/Boston/Philadelphia with remote flexibility.

The PMAL will provide leadership for day-to-day PM activities, manage budgets, schedules, and risk, and ensure delivery that meets WSP standards. You will mentor staff, support recruiting, and work with clients to advance complex Substation and Transmission Line projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• PMP certification will be considered.
• 15+ years of post-education project management experience in Power Delivery/Utility.
• Minimum of 5 years leading engineering/construction teams for medium to large clients.
• Experience with PM processes and tools: Contract Management, External/Internal Team Meeting Management, Earned Value Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Schedule Management (Primavera P6 or equivalent), Financial Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for Substation and Transmission Line projects in the Northeast region.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Mentor PM staff and ensure QA/QC.
• Lead contract reviews, risk mitigation and pricing discussions.
• Coordinate resource and subcontracting needs with area/technical managers.
• Maintain regular client communications and monthly status reporting.
