Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Management Area Lead for our Power & Energy Management Team. This role leads day‑to‑day PM activities for the Northeast region, guiding Substation and Transmission Line projects to meet client needs and corporate standards.

The PMAL will mentor staff, manage risk, and drive project governance, budgets, and KPIs. Travel to client sites is expected; remote work is acceptable from mutually agreed locations within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• PMP certification will be considered; extensive PM experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for Substation/Transmission Line projects in the Northeast region.
• Ensure adherence to PM standards, risk management, and client expectations.
• Lead recruitment and mentoring for project management staff.
• Oversee performance reviews and salary recommendations for direct reports.
• Coordinate with area managers on resource and subcontracting needs.
• Maintain client communications with monthly status reporting and risk updates.
• Support project kick-off and closeout activities; drive lessons learned.
