Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of core DW/BI software and infrastructures. The role involves installing, configuring, and optimizing BI/ETL tools, building interactive dashboards, and maintaining data models.

This position is fully remote within the United States, requiring the ability to obtain suitability/public trust clearance. The successful candidate will lead reporting efforts, train users, manage access and security, and collaborate with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 12+ years of experience preferred.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Build and optimize data models using Power Query (M) and DAX.
• Connect Power BI to data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud services, APIs) and manage data refresh schedules.
• Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues in reports and data models.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and leadership to support data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc Power BI reports.
• Conducts Power BI training (Instructor-led development and delivery).
• Installs and configures DW/BI software to meet customer needs.
• Tunes environment for performance of DW/BI software.
• Manages user access and security in Power BI Service.
• Evaluates vendor updates and applies patches for security and support.
• Makes recommendations for software/hardware changes to improve DW/BI capabilities.
• Monitors and patches DW/BI software for smooth operation.
• Performs upgrades to incorporate new features and security.
