Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments, including BI and ETL tooling. The role is fully remote within the United States, with a focus on installing, configuring, and optimizing software for data warehousing and business intelligence systems.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, training users, managing data sources, and maintaining security with role-based access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience
• Experience designing Power BI dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to connect Power BI to SQL Server, Oracle, Excel and cloud services and manage data refresh schedules
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues in reports and data models
• Collaborate with analysts and leadership to translate reporting requirements into visuals

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc Power BI reports
• Provides Power BI training (instructor-led)
• Installs and configures DW/BI software
• Tunes DW/BI environment for performance
• Manages user access and RBAC in Power BI Service
• Evaluates vendor updates and patches for security
• Proposes hardware/software changes to improve DW/BI capabilities
• Monitors DW/BI software operations and applies patches as needed
• Supports data-driven decision-making across the organization
• Performs upgrades for new features and security
