Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments. You will install, configure, and optimize BI software, including ETL and data management tools, while working fully remote in the United States.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with extensive Power BI expertise, data modeling with M/DAX, and strong collaboration with analysts and leadership to drive data-driven decisions. Clearance for public trust is referenced.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build data models using Power Query (M) and DAX for accurate reporting.
• Connect to SQL Server, Oracle, Excel and cloud sources with refresh schedules.
• Analyze performance issues and optimize data models for efficiency.
• Collaborate with analysts and leadership to meet reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Generate Ad-Hoc Power BI reports for stakeholders.
• Deliver Power BI training and instructor-led sessions.
• Install and configure DW/BI software to meet customer needs.
• Tune DW/BI environment for performance optimization.
• Manage user access and security in Power BI and services.
• Evaluate vendor updates and patch software to mitigate risks.
• Advise on changes to improve performance and capabilities.
• Ensure ongoing operations with monitoring and patching.
• Support role-based security and user administration.
• Perform upgrades to gain new features and security.
