Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Power BI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments. The role includes installing, configuring, and optimizing software for data warehousing and business intelligence, including ETL and data management solutions.

This is a fully remote position based in the United States. The candidate will design dashboards, build data models, connect to diverse data sources, and manage refresh schedules, gateways, and workspace permissions to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports translating business requirements into clear visualizations.
• Connect Power BI to data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud services, APIs) and manage refresh schedules, gateways, and permissions.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc Power BI reports.
• Conducts Power BI training (Instructor-led class development and delivery).
• Installs and configures DW/BI software to meet customer needs per enterprise architecture.
• Continuously tunes environment to optimize performance of DW/BI software.
• Designs and updates user management for role-based access in line with security requirements.
• Evaluates vendor software updates to plan patches and mitigate security risks.
• Makes recommendations for changes to software/hardware configurations to improve performance.
• Ensures smooth operations of DW/BI software through monitoring and patching.
• Supports user administration for security access.
• Performs upgrades to incorporate new features and security.
