Job summary

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in polymer materials, processing methods, and a strong willingness to travel up to 80% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of polymer processing experience.
• Hands-on experience operating injection molding equipment and related processing methods.
• Expertise in polymer materials and plastics processing; OEM/ Tier experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solve customer polymer processing issues utilizing fundamental polymer knowledge and processing skills.
• Independently design experiments to determine effects of processing variables.
• Document results and processing parameters into standardized forms and repositories.
• Understand polymer analytical testing and connect results to processing, chemistry, and observations.
• Interface with product teams to support new product development.
• Collaborate with commercial team on customer projects and status updates.
• Develop processing recommendations for customers and foster relationships with Celanese customers.
