Job summary

Planet Technologies seeks a PMO Manager to lead the project management office for a broad range of IT initiatives. The role emphasizes governance, team leadership, and delivery quality with close collaboration across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in PMO leadership, strong PM methodologies knowledge, and a proven ability to manage budgets and risk while delivering high-impact projects for public sector and other clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technology or equivalent experience; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5+ years of PMO management or director-level experience in a large enterprise.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, PMBOK) with a track record of delivering projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day PMO operations including governance, staffing, and performance tracking.
• Ensure projects align with scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
• Communicate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain delivery quality and outcomes.
• Directly supervise a remote PMO team and coordinate with Senior/Projects/Program Managers.
• Escalate risks as needed and drive mitigation actions to maintain delivery commitments.
