Job summary

Philip Morris International is seeking a PMO Lead to establish best-in-class PMO methodologies, governance, and quality controls. You will lead a cross-functional delivery team, coordinate with Strategy, Creative, Media, Accounts, and PMs, and ensure projects meet time, scope, and budget goals.

The role requires extensive program management experience, strong English communication, and a collaborative leadership style to drive continuous improvement across geographies.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of project management experience.
  • Advanced English (C1 level) required; multilingual a plus.
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, and processes (e.g., PPM).
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to establish and manage a high-performance team.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience working with SMEs (Strategy, Creative, Media, Accounts, PMs).
  • Experience with technology platforms and solutions, with reasonable technical proficiency.
  • Extensive experience managing virtual teams across functions and geographies.

  • Proven experience in large-scale project management within the technology industry.

  • Manage resources, forecast and acquire near/ offshore resources, balance assignments.
  • Adopt and train the team on PM software; identify improvements.
  • Establish the PMO role and create a Center of Excellence aligned with PMI guidelines.
  • Seek implementation efficiencies to meet or exceed financial expectations.
  • Develop, implement, and govern program management processes, templates, policies, and metrics.
  • Monitor compliance with project policies and standards.
  • Coach and mentor PM practitioners and share best practices.
  • Establish PMO organization structure, hire and manage staffing.
  • Coordinate deliverables with PMs, Analysts, Accounts, Strategy, and Creative teams.
  • Oversee PMs to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Track and provide project status and audit reports.
  • Manage risk, issue, and change resolution; take corrective action.
  • Interface with leaders to communicate project risks and opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with partners, driving collaboration on campaigns.
  • Champion growth opportunities for new programs and cross-team initiatives.
