Job summary

TriCore Inc. is seeking a Support Engineer to provide remote technical support for customers in manufacturing automation. You will troubleshoot issues, apply engineering standards, and document resolutions to ensure reliable production, data collection, and reporting systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with demonstrated success in engineering/automation environments.
• Entry-level to ~5 years of experience with growing independence.
• Foundational knowledge in electrical design, PLC ladder logic, HMI configuration, and industrial troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and related tools for documenting and resolving issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for professional customer and internal interactions.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts 7:00pm–7:00am Central Time and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot customer-reported technical issues by reviewing system information and determining next steps.
• Apply TriCore standards, procedures, and best practices to develop support solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams throughout the process.
• Gather information, set expectations, and provide timely status updates.
• Document troubleshooting steps, findings, and resolution activities.
• Program, configure, test, and implement PLC- and HMI-based changes.
• Follow change-control processes when implementing solutions.
• Develop proficiency across TriCore’s automation technologies and environments.
• Prioritize cases and escalate when safety or production impact demands it.
