Job summary

TriCore Inc in New Jersey is seeking a motivated Support Engineer to provide remote technical support for production, cleaning, data collection, and reporting systems. You'll troubleshoot customer issues, apply established procedures, and document resolutions to give clear visibility to customers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes effective communication, adherence to safety and change-control processes, and growing proficiency with TriCore’s automation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of experience in engineering or automation environments.
• Foundational knowledge in electrical design, PLC ladder logic, HMI configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and common office tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts between 7:00pm and 7:00am Central Time and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot customer-reported technical issues by reviewing system information and identifying next steps.
• Apply TriCore standards and best practices to develop support solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams throughout the support process.
• Gather information, set expectations, and provide timely updates regarding issue status and resolution.
• Document troubleshooting steps, findings, and resolution activities.
• Program, configure, test, and implement PLC- and HMI-based changes.
• Follow change-control processes when implementing technical solutions.
• Develop proficiency across TriCore’s automation technologies and customer environments.
• Prioritize assigned support cases and escalate issues when needed.
• Follow all safety, conduct, policy, and site requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned work through resolution or handoff with status updates.
