Job summary

Curative is hiring a Platform Engineer (L2) to own meaningful portions of our infrastructure end-to-end. You will design, deploy, and maintain services that other engineers rely on daily, with a 4-week horizon and a focus on cloud architecture, reliability, and developer tooling.

This fully remote role fits candidates who have shipped production infrastructure, understand IaC fundamentals, and want to grow in a fast-moving team that values developer experience.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as software, platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineer.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider; AWS preferred.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code — OpenTofu, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or Go, and willingness to work in both.
• Strong fundamentals in networking, storage, and monitoring.
• Ability to debug production issues independently and communicate findings.
• Comfort participating in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain infrastructure with OpenTofu, focusing on fault tolerance and operational simplicity.
• Own the lifecycle of services and subsystems — design, deployment, production support, and improvements.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable safe and rapid shipping by app teams.
• Investigate and resolve moderately complex infra and performance issues with structured troubleshooting.
• Incorporate security and HIPAA considerations into infrastructure decisions.
• Partake in architecture discussions and guide engineers on cloud and automation frameworks.
• Contribute to reliability improvements and process optimization across engineering.
