OVERVIEW

We are partnering with a reputable healthcare system to hire for The Developer & Employee Experience Team, enabling the client’s journey to the cloud. The Platform Engineer, Consultant, will report to the Sr. Manager of Technical Engineering. In this role you will design, build, and maintain the Internal Developer Platform, enabling operational excellence for the client, their trading partners, and provider networks. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organization’s journey to the cloud.

***Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship***

  • Duration: 6 months contract to hire
  • Location: Remote, but must reside in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, or Washington. Preference for West Coast. Working hours will be PST.
  • Rate: $65/hr to $90/hr DOE
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, deploy and support the client’s provider agnostic Cloud Enablement Developer Platform, actively contributing to the achievement of our future state goals and ensuring current success and operational excellence.
  • Help to establish, operate and continuously improve within a GitOps framework, leveraging your expertise to accelerate capabilities and practices for the product, team, department, and partners across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible to automate Azure cloud environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and other cloud services.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed system diagrams and technical documentation and specifications as required and necessary to ensure and maintain consistently exceptional quality in the client’s operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, development, and operations, to integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices into the software development lifecycle and ensure seamless infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with all levels of business and IT unit functions to determine design, application, integration and optimal use of information systems.
  • Consult, guide and assist users, developers, analysts, and leaders across all levels of the organization in leveraging the Platform’s capabilities to solve business problems.
  • Serve as a thought leader, actively contributing to the ultimate success of the client's journey to the cloud.
  • Lead and assist in ensuring compliance with our solutions and the security of company data and assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 7+ years of professional experience serving as a technical expert and thought leader in enterprise Platform development, and maintenance.
  • Requires hands on experience managing cloud environments in a heavily regulated, DevOps environment.
  • Requires in depth knowledge of cloud hosting providers, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Requires experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Ansible to automate Azure cloud environments.
  • Requires current AZ-400 and AZ-900 Certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • Requires current RedHat DO-374 and/or DO-414 Certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • Kubernetes experience strongly desired.
  • Additional Cloud Hosting Provider certifications strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment is strongly desired.
  • Experience working remotely is strongly desired.
